Ishai Karasenti | Artistic Director and Founder of The New Dancer

Cultural agent and initiators , escorts dancers and movement artists from their training to the professional world. Classical Ballet teacher involving physical – holistic approaches: “Classic Ballet – Inside Out”,  rehearsal manager and original creation for the “New Dancer” training program.

An artist researching consciousness trough movement. Creator, teacher, and dancer originally from Beersheba, graduate from the Hakibbutzim Seminary with a bachelor’s degree and Teacher’s Certificate in dance. Former gymnast, graduate from the “Bat-Dor” dancer training program in Beersheba. Former dancer in the “Israeli Ballet” company. Participated in productions including: Susan Dalal together with the Israeli Opera – “Man of the Hour” – Itzik Galili, “The Project” – Idan Sharabi & William Forsythe, and so forth.

Independent creators: Rachel Andrus, Mira Rubinstein, Nima Yaakobi, Anya Brod-Thal of Blessed Memory, and more.

For the past 10 years trained the Israeli Gymnastics Team in modern dance (Plastics), for Rio and Tokyo Olympics.

Independent creator and choreographer since 2017. His work combines consciousness, movment and expression. His works preformed in various festivals, awarded with grants from the Independent Creators Fund of the Ministry of Culture and from the Creation Encouragement Committee – Tel Aviv Municipality.

David Warren Parker | Classic Ballet and “Kibbutz”

“Dancing with Dancers” Program and the “New Dancer” Training Program.

Originally from Virginia, USA. Began his training as a dancer at the Ballet Theater Conservatory, School of American Ballet, and Miami City Ballet School, MASA Dance Journey.

Continued his journey as a professional dancer in the Virginia Ballet Theater, Miami Contemporary Dance Company, Toff Rosenlieb Dance, American Repertory Ballet, and the “Kibbutz” Dance Company.

David was also the assistant rehearsal manager in the “Kibbutz 2” Dance Company and a ballet and repertoire teacher in the “Dance Journey” and to “Kibbutz” Dance Company.

Kseniya Shlezinger | Floor Work, Contact Improvisation and Original Creation - “Dancing with Dancers” , “Creating with Creators” Programs and the “New Dancer” Training Program

Graduate from the Kiev Dance Academy. Served as the Head Dancer of the Kishinev Ballet, Moldova. For over then two decades, he taught several of the leading Companies, including the Bat-Sheva Dance Company, the “Kibbutz” Dance Company, the Inbal Pinto Dance Company, Avshalom Folk, and others.

Head Ballet Director at the Jerusalem Music and Dance Academy and high school. A guest master teacher around the world. Member of the evaluation committee of the “Exceled Dancer”, as well as the America-Israel Culture Fund (“Sharet” Fund).

Aya was born in Israel in 1966. She danced for two years at the Kibbutz Dance Company Workshop Project and subsequently studied for two years at the Jerusalem School of Visual Art. She performed as a dancer in various creations, including her own works, at the Suzanne Dellal Centre. Aya also worked as a rehearsal director for Anat Danieli and Noa Dar and participated in many projects directed by Naomi Perlov.

In 1996, Aya joined the Batsheva Dance Company as rehearsal director, first for the junior company and then for the senior company. During this period, she worked with Ohad Naharin, Sharon Eyal, Mats Ek, Barak Marshall, Ronit Ziv, and Yossi Berg. Simultaneously, Aya taught and staged works by Ohad Naharin for companies abroad including Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Ballet Gulbenkian, Cullberg Ballet, NDT 2, and The Juilliard School in New York. Aya was awarded the Yair Shapira Prize in 2002.

Aya is currently teaching Gaga and Ohad Naharin’s repertoire in schools and companies nationally and internationally. She teaches at both the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and the high school next to the Academy as well as Aleph High School of Arts in Tel Aviv. She is a member of the faculty for the Gaga Intensive in Tel Aviv and was the artistic director of Batsheva’s summer course for young dancers in 2011. Abroad, Aya has taught Gaga at Scottish Dance Theatre and led workshops at Zurich University of the Arts in Switzerland, Khadans in Antwerp, Belgium, and George Mason University in the U.S.

Aya is Head of Academic Activities for Gaga.

Itay Peri

Hen Agron | Gaga and Ohad Naharin repertoire from works he created for Bat-Sheva company , at the “New Dancer” trainee program.

Chen Agron was born in 1997 in Jerusalem. She studied at the Jerusalem Music and Dance Academy High School in the years 2009-2014, and  she was part of the Batsheva Excellence Program in 2013-2014.

Chen won the America-Israel Foundation scholarship in the years 2012-2014, as well as the third place in the Jeannette Ordman competition in 2013. In 2014-2016 she studied at the Miami City Ballet in Florida.

She danced with Batsheva Ensemble between 2016-2019, and then in 2019-2020 danced with SOL Dance Company as well as other independent projects. In 2020 Chen joined Batsheva Dance Company, where she danced until 2023.

Today she is a freelance dancer and a Gaga teacher.

Patricia Aharon | Classical Ballet Masterclass -Dancing with"

a Repertoire” Program & the “New Dancer” Training Program

Patricia was born and grew up in Brussels, Belgium. She was trained as a dancer in the Brussels Opera Conservatorium and continued to the Shelly Flanders Royal Ballet (Antwerp, Belgium). Upon her Aliyah to Israel, she became the head soloist of the “Bat Dor” Dance Company and a rehearsal manager of the “Bat Dor” Company and the young “Kibbutz” Dance Company.

A senior ballet teacher in Israel and abroad as well a judge in various dance competitions.

Joseph Aitken | Classical Ballet Masterclass - “Dancing with a Repertoire” Program and the “New Dancer” Training Program.

Roy Assaf is a leading Israeli choreographer of the current generation, having received commissions from renowned companies including Benjamin Millepied’s Los Angeles Dance Project (LADP), the Royal Swedish Ballet, and Batsheva Dance Company. Assaf first made his mark working with the internationally recognized dancer and choreographer Emanuel Gat, touring worldwide with him as both a performer and choreographic assistant from 2004 to 2009. Since 2010, his own work has been performed at Jacob’s Pillow, the Théâtre National de Chaillot, the American Dance Festival, the 17th Biennale de la Danse in Lyon, among others. The recipient of several international prizes, Assaf has taught in Israel, Europe, and North America.

Bosmat is a choreographer and dancer. Her work originates from an attraction to the unnatural, the exaggerated and the stylized, she is inspired by science fiction, comics, and surrealist art. A former dancer of the Bat Sheva dance company and the Inbal Pinto and Avshalom Polak dance company. Currentl, she is the director of teacher training at Gaga, and a teacher at Kibbutzim College of Education

 The School of Visual Theater. Bosmat teaches and present her work in various venues and festivals in Israel and abroad.

Roy Assaf | Repertoire at “Dancing Repertoire” program and the “New Dancer” trainee program.

Dancer, choreographer, teacher, and mentor. The artistic director of the Yossi Berg and Oded Graff Dance Theater, together with his partner Yossi Berg. The Company was established by the two in 2005, and since then it performs around Israel and abroad, including theaters, the New York Joice Festival, the French Montpellier Festival, The SIDANCE festival in Korea, the DansersHus festival in Sweden, the American Dance Festival, and more.

Oded created for different companies, opera houses, and universities in Europe, USA. Canada, and Israel. The Graff and Berg Company won many awards, competitions, and grants in Israel and abroad, including the Ministry of Culture’s Choreography Award and the Rosenblum Award.

Former Artistic Director of the Shalem Dance Festival in Jerusalem and currently he is the Artistic Director of the “Screen Up!” Project.

Orly Portal | Pelvis Technique and repertoire at “Dancing

Repertoire” program and the “New Dancer” trainee program.

Orly is a dancer, choreographer, dance teacher, movement and voice therapist, tribal dance researcher, Moroccan folklore , and a developer of a unique dance language based on a state of relaxation that respacts the natural body movement and the structure of soul of each dancer. Her creation offers a contemporary interpretation to the ancient traditions while combining elements of contemporary dance, contact improvisation and Feldenkrais.

B.A. and teaching certificate at the Seminar HaKibutzim Kollege. Participated at the “La Collectiz” program by the artistic directors Ido Feder and Lilach Livne and in the technique and repertoire school of Yasmin Goder.

Danced at the “Maria Kong “company and since then as a freelance dancer with veriose artists as: Bosmat Nossan, Ido Feder, Tami Leibovich , Guy Gutman and Dana Yahalomi.

Teaches contemporary dance and composition.

Rony Argaman | Roy Assaf Repertoire at “Dancing Repertoire”

program and the “New Dancer” trainee program.

Was awarded with “Excellent Dancer” title for her military service, and studied at the “Maslool” Tel Aviv program directed by Ofir Dagan and Naomi Perlov. Joined Roy Assaf dance company at 2019 and dance with the company till this day.

Rony is also a part of the “Mayumana” company and perform with them around the world.

She also took a part with a Lior Tavori project and “Israel France” project with the Baller Perlijokaj.

Graduate from Telma Yalin high school of arts. Started his dance career at Statsstheater Darmstadt then with Ballet Linz , Theater Osnabrück, Marguerite Donlon, Jersey’s National Ballet and then with KDCD.

Worked with creators such as Marco Goecke , Edward Clug , Liliana Barros , Roy Assaf, Rainer Behr, Richard Segal , Rami Beer, Samir Calixto, Margaruite Donlon, Jacopo Godani , Garrett Smith and more.

Graduated from Rehovot Aharon Katzir High School and the “Maslool” Training Program – Bikurei Haitim, artistically directed by Ofir Dagan and Naomi Perlov. Over a decade of experience as an freelance dancer, assistant choreographer, producer, and rehearsal manager with a varied selection of creators both Israeli and international : Rachel Ardus, Roy Assaf, Niv Scheinfeld and Oran Laor, Ravid Abrabanel, Gilad Yerushalmi, Or Merrin, Iran Sharabi, Israel Aloni, and more.

Created for  ImPlusTanz and the Intimadance festivals. Awarded by the America-Israel Fund, ImPlusTanz, The Pais Art and Culture fund for Independent Creators of the Ministry of Culture.

Adi Gafni | Classic Ballet , floor work and improvisation – “Foundations” Program and the “New Dancer” trainee program . The “New Dancer” producer.

Adi has graduated from a theater high school program, began her training as a dancer in the “Kibbutzim Seminary” Dance Preparatory School under Carmit Burian’s artistic direction. From there she continued her studies in the “Gibney” professional training program in New York, as well as further studies at the “Joffrey” Ballet School in New York, at the Jazz and Contemporary training program. Once she returned to Israel, she participated in the “Carmela” Dance Group, where she worked with the choreographers Noa Shiloh, Ravid Abrabanel, Gilad Yerushalmi, and Roy Assaf.

Today, Adi teaches modern dance, ballet, and yoga, while being trained at the “New Dancer” Training Program and functioning as its producer.

 Pilates teacher, U.S.M and rehabilitative instruments for pregnant women and pelvis floor recovery.

Emotional and energetic therapist combining various methods such as Reiki Master, Healing, Spiritual Communication, Tarot Cards, Spiritual Psychology, Shamanism ,Psychodrama, CBT, Motion Therapy, Group Instractor and Drawing Diagnosis.

Creates and instructs retreats as well as breathing and rebirthing workshops. Currently a second-year student at a holistic psychotherapy program. Supports people in emotional and spiritual processes.

Kseniya Shlezinger

Kseniya Shlezinger | Floor Work, Contact Improvisation and Original Creation - “Dancing with Dancers” , “Creating with Creators” Programs and the “New Dancer” Training Program

Kseniya began her way as a street-style dancer in Russia but fell in love with contemporary dance and studied in various programs (Deltebre Danza, Eastman/Siri Larbi Intensive, Dar Festival, Open Look Festival. Vertigo International Dance Program). She danced as a freelance dancer for different independent creations (BDDC, Moscow Academic Musical Theater, projects of Garage Museum, and etc.).

In 2016, Kseniya established a training program which became the “co.Lab” Training Program, an independent professional program which it graduates danced professionally across the world. In 2020, Kseniya established “The Kseniya Shlezinger Dance Project”, which performed in varied festivals, commercials, and shows( “The Box”, Proba, Echo, Fame etc). She toured Russia with the creations “The Box” as well as “Felix’s Office” and “Hamsin” and was nominated to the National Culture Award.

Joseph Aitken

Joseph Aitken – | Classical Ballet Masterclass - “Dancing with a Repertoire” Program and the “New Dancer” Training Program

Born – Brisbane, Australia

Began dancing at age four. Winner of the City of Sydney scholarship  2000. Winner of various competitions around Australia.

2001 Prix de Lausanne, awarded full scholarship to Hamburg ballett school.  Joseph was awarded the prestigious, Hapag-Lloyd Prize scholarship. Entered the Hamburg Ballet Company, John Neumirer, in 2002. Joseph danced in highly  renowned theaters and opera houses all over the world. in 2009 Joseph began dancing with the Grand Ballet de Genève as a principal dancer. He danced in works from Sidi Larbi Cherkaou, Jiří Kylián, Jean-Christophe Maillot,Ken Osola, Didy Velman, Brnjimen Millepied and Andonis Foniadakis.

In 2015 Joseph moved to Tel Aviv, Israel and began working with Inbal Pinto and Avshalom Pollak.

to the present day, Joseph is dancing with GEM Dance Company.  He is a guest artist and rehearsal director, teacher/coach.

She also took a part with a Lior Tavori project and “Israel France” project with the Baller Perlijokaj.

Graduate from Telma Yalin high school of arts. Started his dance career at Statsstheater Darmstadt then with Ballet Linz , Theater Osnabrück, Marguerite Donlon, Jersey’s National Ballet and then with KDCD.

Worked with creators such as Marco Goecke , Edward Clug , Liliana Barros , Roy Assaf, Rainer Behr, Richard Segal , Rami Beer, Samir Calixto, Margaruite Donlon, Jacopo Godani , Garrett Smith and more.

Graduated from Rehovot Aharon Katzir High School and the “Maslool” Training Program – Bikurei Haitim, artistically directed by Ofir Dagan and Naomi Perlov. Over a decade of experience as an freelance dancer, assistant choreographer, producer, and rehearsal manager with a varied selection of creators both Israeli and international : Rachel Ardus, Roy Assaf, Niv Scheinfeld and Oran Laor, Ravid Abrabanel, Gilad Yerushalmi, Or Merrin, Iran Sharabi, Israel Aloni, and more.

Created for  ImPlusTanz and the Intimadance festivals. Awarded by the America-Israel Fund, ImPlusTanz, The Pais Art and Culture fund for Independent Creators of the Ministry of Culture.

Creates and instructs retreats as well as breathing and rebirthing workshops. Currently a second-year student at a holistic psychotherapy program. Supports people in emotional and spiritual processes.
